Landscape Masterplan

Landscape Architecture — Lymm

Warrington Road

Design brief

A detailed planning application for 167 dwellings across two parcels at Warrington Road in Lymm. The landscape strategy is structured around the site’s key existing assets, including a central green corridor, existing ponds and areas of peripheral vegetation. Tree lined avenues, strengthened hedgerows and ornamental planting establish a connected green framework through the development, integrating the new homes with the existing landscape context.

A formal area of play (LEAP) is positioned within the central open space network, complemented by trim trail equipment to provide additional opportunities for informal recreation, activity and community use. The landscape proposals also support the wider ecological objectives of the scheme, strengthening habitat connectivity and enhancing the site’s biodiversity value.

DAC provided landscape services at planning stage, including the preparation of landscape masterplans, detailed planting drawings and a landscape management plan. The landscape proposals were coordinated closely with the project ecologist to support the delivery of the required Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) targets.
