Landscape Architecture — Huntingdon
Landscape proposals for a retirement living development on Hartford Road in Huntingdon. The building encloses a residents’ garden incorporating areas of lawn, informal seating, specimen trees and planted edges, creating a series of attractive and accessible spaces for residents to enjoy.
The existing trees and hedgerow along the northern boundary are retained as an important landscape asset. New evergreen hedging, meadow areas and structural planting reinforce the site boundaries, provide seasonal interest and enhance views from the apartments, while creating a strong sense of enclosure and connection with the surrounding landscape.
DAC provided services at planning stage, including developing the landscape general arrangements and detailed planting plans.
