Landscape and Visual Appraisal — Menston
Landscape and Visual Appraisal for an outline proposal of up to 65 dwellings on land located off Otley Road in Menston, incorporating access, drainage attenuation and public open space. The site is located within the Green Belt and the landscape strategy seeks to retain and enhance its existing vegetation and landscape character.
Mitigation measures include the retention of existing boundary hedgerows and trees, strengthening of the Mire Beck corridor, and the incorporation of native planting and areas of public open space to help integrate the development within its wider landscape setting.
DAC provided Landscape and Visual Appraisal services, together with the preparation of accompanying landscape sections to demonstrate the proposed landscape mitigation and integration of the development. The scheme subsequently achieved planning approval in summer 2026.
